Its captivating ebb and flow sheds refined minimal elements, downtempo transitions (“Book of March”), and carefully tuned melodic swells. The title track, positioned midway, offers all of the expected emotional flutter we’ve come to expect from 4TT—both comforting and tranquilized. There are subdued instrumental ambient soundscapes (“Holiday 92”) that take us back to simpler times, then more cautious tones and drones blending with sun-soaked vistas courtesy of 4TT and Letters from Mouse collaborating on “Falling Star Purple,” where everything comes together in a beautifully orchestrated sonic blur. Nostalgia and wonder don’t venture too far from the beaten path that 4T Thieves crafts so carefully. “The Long Dark” reveals familiar melodic grooves and pitter-patter beat patches swirling in the mist as “Ever Decreasing Circles” sways with atmospheric notes, carefully reminding us that everything is going to be ok.
